The Design Division offers the BFA, the MFA and a newly launched BA in Design. The Division partners with the Dell Medical School on the Design Institute for Health and with several other departments on the newly launched Center for Integrated Design.

The position of Assistant Chair of Design will bring leadership to the programs' initiatives and cultivate connections with the flourishing design professions in Austin and the state of Texas. Required qualifications may include a mix of the following: a significant record of professional achievement in the field of design, a terminal degree in design, such as the MFA, M.Des, MID, MGD, or Ph.D., or equivalent record of professional/academic experience. College/university teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is expected, but candidates with substantial professional experience will be considered.
